Cedar Key, which is located south of the Panhandle in the northern part of Florida is a charming, quiet, little historic town and has a two-mile island in the Gulf of Mexico with small beach areas for visitors to enjoy. Museums, gift shops, art galleries, historic home tours, island hopping, bird-watching, fishing, and great dining are all nearby. Bicycles and street-legal golf cart rentals are available. Charter boats are at the city-owned marina.
