We have been in business for 25 years and have been recognized as one of the most established resale services in the world. Our program is designed to give you the global exposure to sell your timeshare week. We offer an extensive marketing program and referral network service in which we funnel your information to several other resale companies and timeshare resale agents in addition to working with your information with our own in house real estate people who will try to help sell your timeshare week and field buyer calls and take offers on your timeshare week.
We will advertise your timeshare week on our website - which has 400,000 to 500,000 hits per month. We also place your ad in our own publication which is mailed out to buyers. We also put you in our referral network. We also do extensive general advertising nationwide in newspapers, magazines, yellow pages, and direct mail, internet ads and banners, TV and radio. All we ask is for $189 from you, to help supplement the costs of advertising. How do you propose to sell your timeshare? That's the way the industry is, you must pay someone money upfront. If you go to the LA Times, you will pay upfront, if you go to any of the big resale companies, you will pay upfront. The only resale companies that do not charge money are the small companies working out of their homes and who do not offer world wide exposure. You can try these other companies, but most likely, you will try us someday - so why not now. You might as well go with a company rated by USA Today as one of the top 7 companies, and a company with a good solid reputation, and with a company that's been around for 25 years. You might as well try us.
Charity Option We can donate your timeshare week to one of several charities (Children’s Miracle Network and several homeless shelters are the charities we deal with most). You must pay the closing costs of $650 to process a charity transaction. Your charity donation must first be approved by our committee.
We will mail you a charity agreement, and then donate the timeshare in your name to one of our many charities - we then have the charity sign an IRS form 8283 which you will have for your tax return. Most people are in a 30% tax bracket - therefore you will get back from the IRS 30% of the amount you paid for your timeshare week or 30% of the fair market value.
However, I do recommend that you put your timeshare week in our marketing program first. If your timeshare does not sell in 6 months, then let's look at the Charity option. We will then apply 1/2 of your marketing fee towards closing costs if the committee does approve your donation.
How to differentiate your competition Which other companies have you signed up for and what did you pay? There are bad companies out there. There are also good companies out there. We are ranked one of the top 5 companies by Timesharing Today magazine. The so called bad companies are those who charge $500 - $1000 to list. It’s been suggested by the industry that you will pay some money to sell your timeshare and to pay under $200 is very reasonable. Our fee is reasonable at $189.
$600 is a fair value for marketing your timeshare. We only charge a reasonable $189 to supplement your marketing. Our agents will collect a commission from the buyer to make up the difference.
You will pay someone to market your timeshare. Their salespeople are “slick” and usually better salespeople than Timeshare Travel.
We won’t make any promises or guarantees – they do. They give you hype – we give you hope.
We won’t inflate the price of your timeshare week to make you think you can make money on the timeshare sale. We will give you an honest evaluation. Many of the other resale companies are listing mills. Your listing will be lost in 1000’s of other listings. We have not changed our name in 25 years. Others change often for a fresh and clean slate. We have an office on the main street in SLC (State Street) and we are not working out of the basement of our homes. Many of the internet companies are small operations working out of their homes.
